Jiffy Lube Healthcare

There is a lot of debate today over the state of our healthcare system.  Many call for a universal program of coverage.  I myself would like my car insurance to act like my health insurance.  Both are forms of insurance.  Both were originally designed to cover in the event of a catastrophe, but somehow the automotive insurance industry has not kept up.  Here are some examples of the differences we need work on:

    1. Employers do not offer automotive coverage as an incentive for new hires to join.

    2. The gas station does not accept a co-pay for a full tank of gas.

    3. Auto insurance does not cover preventive care.

    4. My driving "lifestyle" has an adverse effect on my premiums.

    5. Michelle Obama has not yet recognized what a struggle it can be for working families to pay for the cost of owning a vehicle.

When all these conditions are met, then we will have the true "Candidate for Change."

Obama the Dem fav?

We've all heard the latest rants about how Republicans had to choose the candidate that they disliked the least.  And while the media continues to pour over Obama and his surging campaign, a new questions arises.  We all know Hillary is a very polarizing figure, even within her own party.  Is Obama's surge his own or are some Democrats choosing the candidate they dislike the least.....

McCain for Pres?

I like many conservatives out there have reason to vote for a candidate other than John McCain.  Much debate has taken place over the talk radio airwaves in recent days over this very topic.   The answer is simple.  All other arguments aside, we need a candidate to defeat the momemtem of the Democrats in November. That is the reality of the situation we face.  The prospect of having Hillary or Obama in the White House greatly outweighs our policy disagreements of John McCain.  Our candidate has to have broad appeal to all voters, not just to our Republican minority.  A president like Sen. McCain could stop the socialist leaning of this Democratic party, i.e. socialized healthcare etc.

For this reason I plan to cast my vote for John McCain tomorrow.
